Job description
Living & Balance Wellness Center is looking for a compassionate, diligent behavioral health technician to join our outpatient treatment facility. You will be working in conjunction with psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals to provide direct care to assist with the treatment of clients who have various behavioral challenges, such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorders, mental instability, and physical and emotional abuse, under the care of a licensed administrator.
We’re seeking a Peer Support Specialist for our Phoenix location.

The Peer Support Specialist will work as part of the clinical team dedicated to behavioral health and substance use. As Peer Support Specialist, you will coordinate services with the goal of providing experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others.
Responsibilities
- Provide experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others presenting to the facility for care.
- Assist in the transition to the most appropriate level of care available in coordination with the established treatment team.
- Ensure face-to-face interaction with assigned clients.
- Facilitate peer-led groups.
- Provide outreach and engagement activities.
- Coordinate with family members and team on service delivery methods and options.
- Provide supportive contributions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
- You are an individual who is in recovery from alcohol and other drug use and/or general mental health for six (6) months or more
- 2 years of behavioral health work experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Arizona Driver’s License with 39 months clean MVR
- Current valid Fingerprint Clearance Card with the state of Arizona
- Applicants must be bright, energetic individuals with a strong desire to work with children or adults
- Applicants must be physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared for a challenging career experience.
- Hiring for two shifts morning (8 am – 12 pm) and afternoon (12 pm – 4 pm)
- Open for Independent Contractorship

Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
